A restrained beauty reigns in the inland county of Roscommon. The River Shannon and lakes create the pastoral landscape, dotted with interesting towns and villages. It boasts Lough Key Forest Park as well many archaeological gems including Rathcroghan, the Georgian mansion King House, Clonalis House and Strokestown Park House. The town of Boyle came to fame in television series Moone Boy with the county hosting feature film Dark Lies The Island in 2017.
